GONZALES, LA · SERVING THE GULF COAST

One source for the whole bolted joint.

MLC Tool Company supplies, rents, services and calibrates the tools that make up a bolted joint — hydraulic and pneumatic torque, tensioning, flange management, lifting, rigging and heavy lifting, and the specialty gear for when a joint fights back. Eighteen years in the field, and a recommendation that follows the joint, not the catalog.

WHAT WE DO

Four things, done for one customer.

Most tool houses sell you a box. Most service shops fix what you already bought. We do both, plus the part in between — telling you which tool the joint actually needs and proving it held.

01

Sales

New tools across a dozen manufacturers, quoted against the joint you described — not against whatever line carries the best margin.

02

Rentals

Local rental fleet of pumps, square drives, low-clearance tools and tensioners. Same-day and next-day out of Gonzales.

03

Service & calibration

Repair, rebuild, and calibration with certification — so the tool that goes back to the deck is a tool you can document.

04

Field support

On-site setup, torque and tensioning procedure help, and training on the tools you just bought or rented.

LINES WE CARRY

Brand-agnostic by design.

We are TorcUP's top representative in the United States. We also carry everything TorcUP doesn't make, because a flange doesn't care whose logo is on the wrench.

INDUSTRIES

Where our tools go to work.

Marine & shipbuilding

Shaft and rudder couplings, engine hold-downs, deck machinery, hull module joints, flanged piping, and shipboard rigging — plus the salt-air problem nobody budgets for.

Refining & petrochemical

Turnaround support, heat exchanger and manway work, controlled bolt-up on critical service flanges, ASME PCC-1 informed procedures.

Pipeline & midstream

Flange alignment and spreading, valve and pig trap bolting, portable hydraulic power where there's no shop within an hour.

Power & data centers

Structural steel and equipment anchor bolting for fast-schedule builds, with rental fleet coverage so the crew isn't waiting on a tool.

Fabrication & module yards

Repeatable bolt-up on modules that have to fit when they land, with load verification the QA package will accept.

Heavy lifting & machine moving

Ship sections, modules, vessels and machinery moved and set with gantries, strand jacks, jack-up systems and skidding — where a crane pick isn't the answer.

Heavy equipment & mining

Impact sockets, pivot pin removal and replacement, and torque tooling built for the abuse that shop tools don't survive.

WHY MLC

The reasons customers actually give.

One PO covers the joint

Wrench, pump, sockets, tensioner, spreader, verification gear, rigging and the calibration behind it — from one vendor, on one purchase order, with one person answering the phone.

The recommendation isn't for sale

Eighteen years in bolting means we know when the answer is a tensioner instead of a wrench, or a $400 socket instead of a $12,000 tool. We'd rather be right than book the bigger line item.

Local stock, local truck

Gonzales to Pascagoula is a drive, not a freight quote. When a shipment misses, we've put tools in customers' hands ourselves — on a holiday, more than once.

Documentation that survives audit

Calibration certificates, torque values, and procedure references you can hand to QA without a follow-up email.

TECHNICAL LIBRARY

The deep end, if you want it.

Product-level detail, application guides, and a long-form history of the bolted joint live on our bolting site, Process Bolting — hydraulic torque, tensioning, flange spreading, load monitoring fasteners, portable EDM stud removal, and induction heating.

NEXT STEP

Tell us about the joint.

Bolt size, grade, target load, access, and what's fighting you. We'll come back with a recommendation and a number — usually same day.
